The Challenge
Designing for the "Island of Billionaires" Jumeirah Bay Island is Dubai's most exclusive address, home to the Bulgari Resort and a select number of private mansions. Building in this location requires more than just luxury; it demands a design that respects the unique architectural guidelines of the island while providing absolute privacy and grandeur for the client. The project was a comprehensive Turnkey Contract aimed at delivering a bespoke waterfront mansion. The challenge was to execute a complex, high-specification build within a strict 12-month timeline (Nov 2019 – Nov 2020). As the project crossed into 2020, we also had to navigate the logistical hurdles of the pandemic without allowing the quality or the schedule to slip—standards are non-negotiable in a neighborhood of this caliber.
Marine Opulence
Mouhajer International Design approached this project with a vision of "Timeless Marine Luxury." The design had to harmonize with the island's seahorse shape and the surrounding azure waters.. Turnkey Perfection: We managed every single detail—from the structural engineering to the selection of the finest Italian linens. This "white glove" service meant the client had a single point of accountability for the entire creation of their home.. Material Selection: To match the prestige of the Bulgari neighborhood, we imported rare stones and utilized marine-grade materials that can withstand the coastal environment while looking immaculate. The interiors feature expansive floor-to-ceiling glass to frame the sea views, grounded by warm, natural timber accents.. Privacy & Exclusivity: The layout was engineered to offer maximum openness to the sea while maintaining strict privacy from the street side, creating a secluded personal resort for the owner.
